Nicole Milillo-Capone, owner of Lessons by Nicole, has been teaching private voice and piano lessons in NJ since 2014. Her many students have performed in community theater productions such as Howell PAL, Algonquin Arts, Spring Lake Theater; school productions at Howell Middle Schools, Marlboro Middle School, Howell High School, and Jackson Liberty High School; many have also gone on to the Howell FPAC program and OCVTS Performing Arts Academy. Formerly, Nicole was the preschool music and piano teacher at Genius Kids Academy in Howell, NJ, with her youngest piano student at just two years old as well as the general music teacher at Saint Aloysius School in Jackson, NJ where she taught general music to students Pre-K through 8th grade. Aside from teaching, Nicole is a cantor at the St. Aloysius Church in Jackson, NJ and is available to sing weddings , funerals, and baptisms.
Education and Training Nicole is a graduate of Rutgers University with a B.A. in Music with a Theater Minor. She began singing at the age of 7 and began classical vocal training at the age of 13 at the Atlantic Music Academy with Cherie Carl. At the Atlantic Music Academy she participated in the Atlantic Music Faire where she won multiple medals and awards and was invited to the Honors Recital multiple times. She has performed in numerous shows, concerts and recitals. She has been involved with choir since she was in the fourth grade, some of which include Honors Choir, Jackson Civic Choir, New Jersey All State Women's Chorus, and the Rutgers University Kirkpatrick Choir, which she served as the president for the 2012-2013 season. Nicole began singing opera at the age of 16. She was a soloist in the New Jersey All State Opera Festival in 2009, singing Black Swan from the Medium. She has appeared in the operas Flora, The Magic Flute, Mrs. Coaxer in The Beggar's Opera, and one of the six spirits in Cendrillon at Mason Gross School of The Arts.
